Audi A6 oil selection criteria
All oils are selected based on vehicle approvals, SAE, and ACEA compliance.
VAG approvals:
- For petrol models up to 1997. – 500.00 or 501.01.
- For diesel models up to 1997 onwards. – 500.00 or 505.00.
- For petrol cars 1998-99 inclusive 500.00, 501.01, 502.00. In the case of cars from 2000 with LongLife Service, having the model year letter Y, use motor oils 503.00 with 154 kW or 503.01.
- For diesel models manufactured in 1998-99 inclusive, motor oils 505.00, 505.01 are used. In the case of vehicles from the model year 2000 with LongLife Service, with the model year letter Y, grease 506.00 is used. For machines equipped with a 115/130 HP nozzle/pump engine. (85/96 kW) use grease 506.01.
- For gasoline engines 2004-2011 onwards. With LongLife maintenance, it is allowed to use motor oils 503.00, 503.01, 504.00. For other models 501.01, 502.00, 504.00, 505.01.
- For diesel engines 2004-2011 onwards. With LongLife maintenance, it is allowed to use 507.00 motor oils. For machines without LongLife Service 505.00, 505.01, 507.00.
- For petrol models from 2010 onwards. 502.00, 504.00.
- For diesel engines from 2010 onwards. 507.00.
- ACEA A2/B3 and up.
- Viscosity is suitable 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-50, 0W-30, 5W-30, 5W-40, 5W-50. For the latest models, 0W-20 is recommended. Most often, 0W-30, 5W-30 are poured into engines with 10W-40 mileage.
